The Healing Voice
The voice is not only a sound.
It is vibration, memory and medicine.
Through the practice of embodied vocal release, we awaken what the body holds: pain, silence, pleasure, truth and we allow it to move into sound.
Each tone becomes a bridge between the seen and the unseen, a dialogue of becoming and healing.
My Story — The Path Through Pain
My journey with voice healing began in the midst of pain.
For years, after a series of heavy traumas, I lived with fibromyalgia, a condition that brought constant tension, fatigue, and disconnection from my body.
Conventional treatments didn’t serve me, but what I didn’t know was that the root issue was another. No medicine in the world could touch the emotional weight I carried: the pain beneath the pain.
One day, as I allowed a raw sound to escape my throat – somewhere between a raw sigh and a desperate cry – something shifted. My voice, once constrained, became my medicine.
Through consistent vocal exploration, I learned to release what words could never express.
Each vibration became a pulse of relief, each tone a step toward freedom.
What began as a survival tool became a method of transformation, one I now share with others who wish to reconnect with the healing intelligence of their own sound.
What is vocal release?
Vocal release is the practice of using sound as a direct expression of emotion and sensation.
It is not about singing “beautifully”, but about allowing the voice to move freely, raw and unfiltered through the body.
This process invites tension, memory and emotion to surface and transform through vibration.
The human voice is a bio-energetic instrument: each sound wave interacts with tissues, breath and the nervous system, creating measurable physiological effects.
Science meets intuition:
Vibration therapy
Studies show that sound frequencies can reduce muscular tension and modulate pain perception.
Vocalisation
Increases vagal tone, activating the parasympathetic nervous system (“rest and digest” mode).
Humming and toning
Stimulate nitric oxide production, improving circulation and oxygenation.
Singing and vocal resonance
Can lower cortisol levels and enhance emotional regulation.
In other words, sound literally reorganises the body’s inner rhythm, restoring coherence between breath, emotion and movement.
My method - Voice as Body, Body as Voice
My voice practices merge somatic awareness, breathwork, and intuitive sound.
In sessions, we explore:
Free vocalisation
Sound as spontaneous movement
Resonance mapping
Where vibration meets body memory
Breath and pelvic awareness
Reconnecting to vitality and sensual energy through the womb
Silence
As integration and rest
Sometimes we work lying down, sometimes standing in movement, sometimes in nature.
Always in a space of permission, empathy and listening.
The goal is not performance, it’s reclamation: of presence, pleasure, and most importantly of your own story.
Science & Sound —
Why the Voice Heals
Research in music therapy, psychophysiology, and trauma healing supports what ancient traditions have always known:
sound heals.
- Studies from the University of Gothenburg show that group singing synchronises heart rates and breathing patterns.
- Clinical research at the UK Sound Healing Association reveals that vocal toning can reduce chronic pain and anxiety.
- Polyvagal theory (Stephen Porges, 2011) demonstrates how vocal resonance directly regulates the vagus nerve, the main pathway of emotional and physiological self-soothing.
When we vocalise, we are not just making sound: we are regulating the nervous system, reshaping our emotional landscape and opening space for life to move through us again.
